Tras a\u00f1os de dificultades, recibi\u00f3 un trasplante facial en el Hospital Vall d\u2019Hebron de Barcelona, un procedimiento hist\u00f3rico por ser el primero en el mundo realizado con una donante que hab\u00eda optado por la eutanasia.<\/p>\n<p>La compleja intervenci\u00f3n, en la que participaron cerca de cien especialistas, permiti\u00f3 reconstruir piel, m\u00fasculos, nervios y huesos del rostro mediante microcirug\u00eda avanzada.
