Fue creado para reconocer y preservar el legado cultural y musical de Don Medardo, considerado un referente de la cumbia ecuatoriana y un embajador de la m\u00fasica nacional dentro y fuera del pa\u00eds. Su trabajo marc\u00f3 a varias generaciones y llev\u00f3 el nombre de Loja a escenarios internacionales.<\/p>\n
