Mediante un comunicado oficial emitido por la Corte Nacional, se informa que Estados Unidos a trav\u00e9s del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Movilidad Humana present\u00f3 al presidente de la Corte Nacional de Justicia, Dr. Jos\u00e9 Suing Nagua, el pedido formal de extradici\u00f3n del ciudadano Jos\u00e9 Adolfo Mac\u00edas Villamar, quien es requerido por la justicia del pa\u00eds norteamericano.<\/p>\n

El proceso de extradici\u00f3n pasiva se tramitar\u00e1 de conformidad con el ordenamiento jur\u00eddico ecuatoriano.<\/p>\n
Seg\u00fan se determina en el art\u00edculo 199.3 del C\u00f3digo Org\u00e1nico de la Funci\u00f3n Judicial el presidente de la Corte Nacional de Justicia es la autoridad central competente en materia de extradici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
